The European Commission (EC) provided an additional contribution of €3,000,000 grant (as part of the DeSIRA initiative) to support the European component of the One Planet Fellowship geared towards an increased involvement of European scientists and research institutions in the initiative. Led by Agropolis Fondation, the various actions under the project are clustered into three work packages: Advanced Science Training, Learning, networking and exchange, and Coordination and Management. The grant agreement between EC and Agropolis Fondation was signed at the sideline of the third African Union – European Union Ministerial Conference held on June 2019, in Rome, Italy.
